• Las industrias del cine y de la música en EEUU han lanzado un ataque indirecto al P2P.
• Han pedido a los principales proveedores de internet que desactiven cualquier tráfico que sospechen que es pirata.
• Isohunt, una famosa web de enlaces a BitTorrent, ha sido una de las primeras afectadas.

La Federación Internacional de la Industria Fonográfica (IFPI) y la Asociación de Películas de América (MPAA), entre otros organismos defensores de los derechos de autor, han encontrado una alternativa a la lucha directa contra los programas de intercambio de archivos y las páginas con enlaces a estos programas.

La nueva táctica consiste en un ataque indirecto: en vez de amenazar con demandas a las webs que ofrecen los enlaces, se amenaza a los proveedores de internet que las alojan.

La IFPI ha pedido a los proveedores que desactiven cualquier tipo de tráfico que sospechen que es pirata.
